Living memory.

This is Wan Ngah Jebah. She is the widow of late Tok Ngah Jak. Tok Ngah Jak was the elder brother of Nek Yang, your paternal grand ma.

I have lots of fond memories of them.
Actually Wan Ngah doesn't want to be shot but I had to take it.
She is my living memory of Tok Ngah.

It's quite hard for her to live her life without Tok Ngah. Nobody to share her golden years, to talk to, to fight with, to soothe her fears & worries.

Scene from old KL Bentong road.

I can't recalled when was the last time I used the old Genting Gombak road. Since the seventies when the first highway, Gombak Bentong was completed, we never used the old road. The road is narrow, winding and treacherous.
Yet yesterday I made an unconscious turn into the old road after refueling in Genting. Was the road still exist?
As I took the turn I realised the road is quite pleasant. Not much traffic, cool being under shade, there's a few small waterfalls you can stop along the road and the view is splendid. We can have the time enjoy the view cos we can't speed. I stopped at a spot and took this shot.

Secret to a good dinner.

Thousand of years ago, if you're tired of being a vegetarian, this is what you should do.
Learn to
hunt.
There were many ways to hunt for your dinner.
Setting a trap like a fishing net is a passive hunting but need some ingeunity to succeed. The active ways are like this. Try to immobilise your prey by pricking them with sharp instruments or shot them with something.

Driving school.

Maybe someone is trying to figure out how to drive the beast he is on. There's no clutch or gear pedal or even a button. Or maybe the beast got other thing on his mind or simply choose not to move.

The beauty from Paya Nangka.

Have been planning to go back to LK for sometime already. Itching for some haruan fishing. When march came, the opportunity present itself. Heard Pak Long & family was heading southeast on first week of march.
LK has some hotspots to test your haruan skills. The famous Paya Besar where some strangers from Tloh have been pulling haruan every weekends.
Never been to Paya Nangka before cos it looked not promising however heard some news from Abiya he lost a few haruan a day before. Do you know where is Paya Nangka? Can't call you ignorant if you don't.
Went there after subuh and if you stand still and quiet, you can hear the haruan are working on their breakfasts. It's almost magical. Like you are watching a kenduri.
If you count the exploding sounds, there are everywhere. It's almost like a virgin haruan territory. I looked around and saw risings in every nooks and corners.
And it's right here in Lipat Kajang. How wonderful.

Pak Long.

This is the latest shot of Pak Long when we last went back to Lipat Kajang in first week of March 2009. Still dashing I must say.
